With this privacy statement we want to clarify what personal data we collect and how we use it, how we protect it and what rights you have to manage your personal data and protect your privacy. 

  1. When does this privacy statement apply?

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal data of our customers, website visitors, business partners and other persons.  This privacy statement does not apply to the processing of personal data of employees of Fiesta Macumba.

For Fiesta Macumba, personal data is all information that relates to you and with which you are personally identifiable, directly or indirectly, alone or in combination with other data that we have.

We collect your personal data from different sources, for example when you buy a ticket from us, sign up for our newsletter or visit our websites.

  • Name, contact details and other identification data

When you buy tickets, contact us or a venue partner, we can process the following information: your name, title, age, contact information, which can comprise of: address, phone number, social media accounts and email address.

  • Your personal account or login data 

When you create a personal account to buy something from our web shop, we may store the login details, name and other information that you fill in on your personal account, the registration form or information we collect from your device. 

  • Information about your visits to our websites

When you visit our websites, we may store your IP address, browser type, operating system, referral website and browser behaviour. With your consent, we may also be able to access certain data stored on your mobile device, such as location data.

  • Your communication with us

When you send us an e-mail via the website or with communicate with us online or via social media chat, we store your communication with us.

  • Social media information

Depending on your settings in social media channels, we may receive information from these platforms. For example, when you sign in to Fiesta Macumba with a social media account, we could receive your social media profile, including your contact details, interests and contacts. Fiesta Macumba is responsible for the processing of all personal data in this privacy statement. We can share your personal data with third parties, but if we do so we will continue to be responsible, unless your personal data are required to be shared as a result of a court order or when Fiesta Macumba is under a legal obligation to share this information.

We may use your data for various reasons (purposes). For example, data you explicitly provide to us, but also data that we have collected ourselves (e.g. about your website visit). Some of the information we collect is required by law or for other reasons necessary for the delivery of our services or products. We collect some data on the basis of your consent. The main reason why we collect, use, store and disclose personal data is to provide the services and products you purchase from us. These are data that relate directly to the events we organize. We need these for:

  • delivery of your tickets and/or associated services (such as a receipt), including providing access to the event locations;
  • Confirming your presence at an event;
  • Send information about the event location, service emails or messages after your visit to the event;
  • Help with online purchases and the provision of online services;
  • Communication with you (e.g. information about the event, answers to questions and complaints);
  • Statistical research;
  • response to complaints.

On what grounds do we process your personal data when we provide services?

If you have purchased tickets (or services) from a venue partner, we use personal data for the performance of the agreement you have with Fiesta Macumba for sending the tickets, answering questions and to serve you to the best of our abilities.

    1. To send our newsletter

When you sign up for our newsletter or when you have purchased a ticket for one of our events or other services, we regularly send you the latest news about Fiesta Macumba that may be relevant to you. We can keep you informed via email or our social media channels. You always have the right to unsubscribe via the 'unsubscribe' button in each newsletter.  

On what grounds do we process your personal data when we send you our newsletter?

Based on your consent if you have subscribed to our newsletter. Based on our legitimate interest to communicate with existing customers about future events and to improve our services and communication with customers as well as to personalise, help gain a better understanding of the direct interaction with our customers and to measure the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns or advertisements.

When you visit our website, apply to the newsletter or share your contact details with us, we can approach you with direct marketing, for example via e-mails, social media or phone calls. If this is required by law, we will ask you for your consent to send personalised direct marketing.

We use collected personal data to analyse customer behaviour and to adapt services (events) and products accordingly. This means that we check how often you read our newsletters, how often you visit our website, on which pages you click and what things you buy through our website, in order to gain insight into what products and services you prefer.  We also process your personal data to make analyses.

We also monitor customer satisfaction through surveys.  We use your answers to these surveys for quality assessment and to improve your customer experience.

To enter into and implement agreements with business partners

We process your personal data for administrative reasons such as sending orders, invoices and taking care of payments. We also use your personal data for the delivery or receipt of your and our products and services and the administration thereof. We use personal data for the further execution of our agreement, including customer service.

For account management and marketing

Fiesta Macumba uses the information in our partner files to send you appropriate offers and newsletters, for the provision of services and for account management.  We may also use personal data for market research.

We process your personal data for our business activities, for example the order administration. Fiesta Macumba also processes your personal data for our internal management. We use different systems for this. We carry out audits and other surveys, implement internal controls, and use lists of suppliers and business partners. We also process personal data for our financial administration, for archiving and insurance purposes, for legal and business advice and for resolving disputes.

  • Parties who provide services for us in the field of ticketing and customer service, listed on the website where you buy the tickets;

We may also disclose your personal data to other parties outside of Fiesta Macumba when:

We ensure that third parties only process your personal data in accordance with the law.

We store and process your personal information within the European Union. Sometimes, we may need to send your personal data to another country that does not offer the same level of data protection to EU standards as the Netherlands where we are located. An example is a Ticket that you buy online for an event in the US.

When a third party processes your personal data for or on behalf of Fiesta Macumba, we conclude a contract with said party containing conditions such as that it processes your personal data only for services rendered to us.

Fiesta Macumba takes the necessary technical, physical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, damage, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, as well as any other forms of unlawful or further processing.  Examples include using password managers & secure cloud providers.

Your personal data will be retained as long as necessary for the purposes of this privacy statement, to the extent necessary for legal obligations and for resolving disputes.

You can always send us a request for access, restriction, transfer or deletion of the data that Fiesta Macumba processes, or if you have any questions about the processing of your personal data or want to object to the way Fiesta Macumba handles your personal data.
